The Tears of Angst

I knew this was going to come from at least one of The Usual Suspects. The tears must be cascading.

Of course, he refuses to believe that absolutely nothing was accomplished in the Senate during Harry Reid’s tenure as Majority Leader. A budget was never even considered in the Senate for the last six years.

That’s the Republicans fault though. Amazingly uninformed about what’s going on in the country or what people are concerned about.

Take a look at the comments there. The 4th one comes close to Godwinning, referring to the Goebbels rhetoric of the Right. Incredible. Of course, if a person wants to be in favor at that site, they have to march in step, don’t they?

Of course, midterm elections, although they mean something, doesn’t say anything for the long term. Those that voted yesterday sent a message but what this does is put a great deal of pressure on the Republican majorities to get something done.

Okay Republicans, you won. Now, what are you going to do with your newfound power? Are you going to work with Democrats and the President to help America?

If they don’t, if they’re not willing to compromise on some issues, look for a change, at least in the Senate, in 2016.

  1. “Of course, he refuses to believe that absolutely nothing was accomplished in the Senate during Harry Reid’s tenure as Majority Leader.”

Do you mean this literally? Are actually claiming that not a single piece of legislation was acted on during the past six years in the Senate?

  2. Why is it that you think the Republicans are not largely to blame for the legislative gridlock. The Republicans have used the filibuster at a record-setting pace the past six years compared to Democrats for any other comparable block of time. McConnell even made it the mission of the Republicans to obstruct most legislative efforts of Obama and the Democrats. Now he is talking cooperation. Much hypocrisy.
